Buraida reported the Prophet as saying to a man who was wearing a signet-ring of yellow copper, “How is it that I notice the odour of idols in you ?” So he threw it away and came wearing an iron signet- ring, and when he said, “How is it that I see you wearing the adornment of the inhabitants of hell ?” he threw it away and asked God’s messenger what material he should use. He replied, “Silver, but do not let it weigh as much as amithqal.” Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it. Muhyi as-Sunna said there is a sound tradition on the authority of Sahl b. Sa'd about the dower that the Prophet said to a man, “Seek something, even though it should be an iron signet-ring.”

بریدہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک آدمی کو پیتل کی انگوٹھی پہنے ہوئے دیکھا تو اسے فرمایا :’’ مجھے کیا ہے کہ میں تجھ سے بتوں کی بو محسوس کر رہا ہوں ؟‘‘ اس شخص نے اسے پھینک دیا ۔ پھر وہ آیا تو اس نے لوہے کی انگوٹھی پہن رکھی تھی ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ مجھے کیا ہے کہ میں تجھ پر جہنمیوں کا زیور دیکھ رہا ہوں ؟‘‘ اس نے اسے پھینک دیا ، اور عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! میں کس دھات سے انگوٹھی بنواؤں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ چاندی سے اور وہ بھی مثقال سے کم ہو ۔‘‘\nاور محی السنہ ؒ نے فرمایا : حق مہر کے بارے میں سہل بن سعد ؓ سے صحیح سند کے ساتھ ثابت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک آدمی سے فرمایا :’’ تلاش کرو خواہ لوہے کی ایک انگوٹھی ہو ۔‘‘ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی و ابوداؤد و النسائی و فی شرح السنہ ۔\n

Us shakhs ne use phenk diya Phir wo aaya to us ne lohe ki anguthi pehn rakhi thi Aap SAW ne farmaya ''Mujhe kya hai ki mein tujh par jahanmiyon ka zewar dekh raha hun?'' Us ne use phenk diya aur arz kiya Allah ke Rasul mein kis dhat se anguthi banwaun? Aap SAW ne farmaya ''Chandi se aur wo bhi misqal se kam ho'' Aur Muhi us Sunnah RA ne farmaya Haq Mehr ke bare mein Sahl bin Saad RA se sahih sand ke sath sabit hai ki Nabi SAW ne ek aadmi se farmaya ''Talash karo chahe lohe ki ek anguthi ho'' Hasan Rawahu Tirmidhi wa Abu Dawood wa Nisa'i wa fi Sharah us Sunnah
وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ عَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ شَبَهٍ: «مَا لِي أَجِدُ مِنْكَ رِيحَ الْأَصْنَامِ؟» فَطَرَحَهُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ: «مَا لِي أَرَى عَلَيْكَ حِلْيَةَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ؟» فَطَرَحَهُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ أَتَّخِذُهُ؟ قَالَ: «مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَلَا تُتِمَّهُ مِثْقَالا» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
