Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “The ancient propheticalsunna(The Arabic word is fitra. Its basic meaning is the manner in which one is created. It is also used for the religion of Islam. But in this tradition the meaning is said to be thesunnafollowed by the prophets from of old, and therefore it is translated above in accordance with this explanation) has five characteristics :circumcision, shaving with a razor, clipping the moustache, paring the nails, and plucking out hairs under the armpit.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ پانچ چیزیں فطرت سے ہیں ، ختنہ کرنا ، زیر ناف بال صاف کرنا ، مونچھیں کترنا ، ناخن تراشنا اور بغلوں کے بال اکھاڑنا ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Panch cheezen fitrat se hain, khatna karna, zer naaf baal saaf karna, moochhen katrna, nakhun tarashna aur baghlon ke baal ukharna.'' Muttafiq alaih.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْفِطْرَةُ خَمْسٌ: الْخِتَانُ وَالِاسْتِحْدَادُ وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ ونتفُ الإِبطِ
