‘Ammar b. Yasir said :I came to my family after a journey with my hands chapped and they perfumed me with saffron. In the morning I went to the Prophet and gave him a greeting, but instead of responding to it he said, “Go away and wash this off yourself.” Abu Dawud transimitted it.

عمار بن یاسر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں سفر سے اپنے اہل خانہ کے پاس واپس آیا تو میرے ہاتھ پھٹ گئے تھے ، انہوں (اہل خانہ) نے میرے زعفران کی خوشبو لگا دی ، میں صبح کے وقت نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ کو سلام کیا ، آپ ﷺ نے مجھے سلام کا جواب نہ دیا اور فرمایا :’’ جاؤ اور اسے اپنے (بدن) سے دھو ڈالو ۔‘‘ سندہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Ammar bin Yasir bayan karte hain, main safar se apne ahl khana ke pass wapas aya to mere hath phat gaye the, unhon (ahl khana) ne mere zaffran ki khushbu laga di, main subah ke waqt Nabi ki khidmat main hazir hua aur aap ko salam kiya, aap ne mujhe salam ka jawab na diya aur farmaya: "jao aur ise apne (badan) se dho dalo." وَعَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ عَلَى أَهْلِي مِنْ سَفَرٍ وَقَدْ تَشَقَّقَتْ يَدَايَ فَخَلَّقُونِي بِزَعْفَرَانٍ فَغَدَوْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ وَقَالَ: «اذْهَبْ فَاغْسِلْ هَذَا عَنْكَ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ
