He said God’s messenger often greased his head and combed his beard, and he often wore a head veil as though his garment (the explanation which seems to be preferred is that the word "garment’’ here refers to the cloth like a veil which was used to protect the turban from the grease.) were that of an olive-oil seller. It is transmitted inSharh as sunna.

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ اپنے سر پر بہت زیادہ تیل لگایا کرتے تھے ، اپنی داڑھی میں خوب کنگھی کیا کرتے تھے ، اور سر کو اچھی طرح ڈھانپ کر رکھا کرتے تھے ، گویا آپ کا کپڑا ایسے تھا جیسے تیلی کا کپڑا ہو ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ فی شرح السنہ ۔
Anas bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah apne sar par bahut zyada tail lagaya karte thay, apni darhi mein khoob kanghi kiya karte thay, aur sar ko achhi tarah dhanp kar rakha karte thay, goya aap ka kapra aise tha jaise teli ka kapra ho. Isnad zaeef, riwayat fi sharah al-sunnah.
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم يُكثر دهن رَأسه وتسريحَ لحيته وَيُكْثِرُ الْقِنَاعَ كَأَنَّ ثَوْبَهُ ثَوْبُ زَيَّاتٍ. رَوَاهُ فِي شرح السّنة
