Maimuna said that some people passed the Prophet dragging a sheep of theirs as big as an ass. God’s messenger asked them why they did not make use of its skin, and when they told him that it had died a natural death he said, “Water and leaves of the mimosa flava* purify it." *The Arabic word isqaraz. meaning the leaves of the mimosa flave (salam) These were used for tanning. Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

میمونہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں قریش کے کچھ افراد اپنی (مردار) بکری کو گدھے کی مثل گھسیٹتے ہوئے نبی ﷺ کے پاس سے گزرے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے انہیں فرمایا :’’ تم اس کا چمڑا ہی اتار لیتے ۔‘‘ انہوں نے عرض کیا : یہ مردار ہے رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ پانی اور قرظ (کیکر کے مشابہ درخت اور اس کے پتے) اسے پاک کر دیتے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ احمد و ابوداؤد ۔
Mumana بیان کرتی hain Quresh ke kuch افراد apni (murdah) bakri ko gadhe ki misal ghaseette huye Nabi ﷺ ke paas se guzre to Rasool Allah ﷺ ne unhen farmaya :’’ Tum iska chamara hi utaar lete ۔‘‘ Unhon ne arz kiya : Yeh murdar hai Rasool Allah ﷺ ne farmaya :’’ Pani aur qarz (kaiker ke mushaba darakht aur uske patte) ise pak kar dete ۔‘‘ Isnaadahu hasan, Rawahu Ahmad o Abu Dawood ۔.
وَعَن مَيْمُونَة مر على النَّبِي الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رِجَالٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَجُرُّونَ شَاةً لَهُمْ مِثْلَ الْحِمَارِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ أَخَذْتُمْ إِهَابَهَا» قَالُوا إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُطَهِّرُهَا الْمَاءُ والقرظ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَأَبُو دَاوُد
