Mishkat al-Masabih 6200
`Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on him) reported: I arrived in Syria and I prayed two rak'ahs and supplicated: "O Allah, grant me the companionship of a righteous companion." I came to the people and sat with them, and an old man came and sat next to me. I said: "Who is this?" They said: "Abu Darda." I said: "I asked Allah to grant me the companionship of a righteous person, so He has granted me your companionship." He asked me: "Who are you?" I said: "I am from Kufa." He said: "Do you not have among you Ibn Umm `Abd (Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him), the owner of the sandals, the one who used to arrange the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) bed and prepare water for his ablution? And among you is the one whom Allah has granted refuge from Satan through the supplication of His Prophet, namely `Ammar ibn Yasir? Do you not have the keeper of secrets, whom none knows except him, namely Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him)?" (Sahih al-Bukhari).`

علقمہ ؒ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں شام پہنچا تو میں نے دو رکعت نماز پڑھ کر دعا کی : اے اللہ ! مجھے کسی صالح ساتھی کی ہم نشینی نصیب فرما ، میں لوگوں کے پاس آیا اور ان کے پاس بیٹھ گیا ، چنانچہ ایک بزرگ آئے اور وہ میرے پہلو میں بیٹھ گئے ، میں نے کہا : یہ کون صاحب ہیں ؟ انہوں نے بتایا : ابودرداء ہیں ، میں نے کہا : میں نے اللہ سے دعا کی تھی کہ وہ مجھے کسی صالح شخص کی ہم نشینی نصیب فرمائے تو اس نے مجھے آپ کی ہم نشینی عطا فرمائی ۔ انہوں نے مجھ سے پوچھا : آپ کون ہیں ؟ میں نے کہا : کوفی ہوں ، انہوں نے کہا : کیا تمہارے ہاں ابن ام عبد (عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ) صاحب النعلین صاحب و سادہ و مطہرہ (نبی ﷺ کے نعلین اٹھانے والے ، آپ کا بستر درست کرنے والے اور آپ کے وضو کے لیے پانی کا اہتمام کرنے والے) نہیں ہیں ؟ اور تم میں وہ بھی ہیں جنہیں اللہ نے اپنے نبی کی دعا کے ذریعے شیطان سے پناہ دے دی ہے یعنی عمار بن یاسر ، کیا تم میں راز دان نہیں ہیں ؟ ان رازوں کو ان کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا یعنی حذیفہ ؓ ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Alqama bayan karte hain, mein Sham pahuncha to maine do rakat namaz parh kar dua ki: Aye Allah! mujhe kisi salih sathi ki hum nishini nasib farma, mein logon ke pass aaya aur un ke pass baith gaya, chunancha ek buzurg aaye aur wo mere pahlu mein baith gaye, maine kaha: Ye kaun sahib hain? Unhon ne bataya: Abudarda hain, maine kaha: maine Allah se dua ki thi ki wo mujhe kisi salih shakhs ki hum nishini nasib farmaye to usne mujhe aap ki hum nishini ata farmaei. Unhon ne mujh se pucha: Aap kaun hain? Maine kaha: Kufi hun, unhon ne kaha: kya tumhare han Ibn Umme Abd (Abdullah bin Masood) sahib ul naleen sahib o sada o mutahira (Nabi ke naleen uthane wale, aap ka bistar durust karne wale aur aap ke wazu ke liye pani ka ehtamam karne wale) nahin hain? Aur tum mein wo bhi hain jinhen Allah ne apne Nabi ki dua ke zariye shaitan se panah de di hai yani Ammar bin Yasir, kya tum mein raz dan nahin hain? In raazon ko un ke siwa koi nahin janta yani Huzaifa. Riwayat Bukhari.
وَعَن علقمةَ قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ الشَّامَ فَصَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي جَلِيسًا صَالِحًا فَأَتَيْتُ قَوْمًا فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَإِذَا شَيْخٌ قَدْ جَاءَ حَتَّى جَلَسَ إِلَى جَنْبِي قُلْتُ: مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا: أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ. قُلْتُ: إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُيَسِّرَ لِي جَلِيسًا صَالِحًا فَيَسَّرَكَ لِي فَقَالَ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قُلْتُ: مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ. قَالَ: أَو لَيْسَ عنْدكُمْ ابْن أمِّ عبد صَاحب النَّعْلَيْنِ وَالْوِسَادَةِ وَالْمَطْهَرَةِ وَفِيكُمُ الَّذِي أَجَارَهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ؟ يَعْنِي عَمَّارًا أَوْ لَيْسَ فِيكُمْ صَاحِبُ السِّرِّ الَّذِي لَا يعلمُه غيرُه؟ يَعْنِي حُذَيْفَة. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
