Mishkat al-Masabih 700
Jabir said that the area round the mosque was vacant and that the B. Salima wanted to remove near the mosque, but when the Prophet heard of that he said to them, “I have heard that you want to remove near the mosque.” They replied, “Yes, Messenger of God, that was our desire.” He said, “B. Salima, if you keep to your present houses, your footprints will be recorded; if you keep to your present houses, your footprints will be recorded.”* * I.e. you will receive a reward for the distance you have to go to the mosque. Muslim transmitted it.

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، مسجد (نبوی) کے آس پاس کچھ اراضی خالی ہوئی تو بنوسلمہ نے مسجد کے قریب منتقل ہونے کا ارادہ کیا ، نبی ﷺ کو پتہ چلا تو آپ نے انہیں فرمایا :’’ مجھے پتہ چلا ہے کہ تم مسجد کے قریب آنا چاہتے ہو ؟‘‘ انہوں نے عرض کیا : جی ہاں ، اللہ کے رسول ! ہمارا ارادہ تو یہی ہے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بنوسلمہ ! اپنے گھروں ہی میں رہو ، تمہارے قدم لکھے جاتے ہیں ، اپنے گھروں ہی میں رہو ، تمہارے (مسجد کی طرف اٹھنے والے) قدم لکھے جاتے ہیں ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Jabar bayan karte hain, masjid ke aas paas kuch arazi khali hui to Banu Salama ne masjid ke qareeb muntaqil hone ka irada kiya, Nabi ko pata chala to aap ne unhen farmaya: ''Mujhe pata chala hai ki tum masjid ke qareeb aana chahte ho?'' Unhon ne arz kiya: ''Ji haan, Allah ke Rasool! Hamara irada to yahi hai.'' Aap ne farmaya: ''Banu Salama! Apne gharon hi mein raho, tumhare qadam likhe jate hain, apne gharon hi mein raho, tumhare (masjid ki taraf uthne wale) qadam likhe jate hain.'' Riwayat Muslim.
وَعَن جَابر قَالَ: خَلَتِ الْبِقَاعُ حَوْلَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَأَرَادَ بَنُو سَلِمَةَ أَنْ يَنْتَقِلُوا قُرْبَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكُمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَنْتَقِلُوا قُرْبَ الْمَسْجِدِ» . قَالُوا: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ أَرَدْنَا ذَلِكَ. فَقَالَ: «يَا بَنِي سَلِمَةَ دِيَارَكُمْ تُكْتَبْ آثَاركُم دِيَاركُمْ تكْتب آثَاركُم» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
