Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said:While God’s Messenger was leading his companions in prayer he took off his sandals and laid them at his left side; so when the people saw that, they removed their sandals. When he had finished his prayer he asked, "What made you remove your sandals? They replied, “We saw you remove yours, so we removed ours.” God’s Messenger then said, “Gabriel came to me and informed me that there was filth on them. When any of you comes to the mosque he should examine, and if he sees filth on his sandals he should wipe it off and pray in them.” Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it.

ابوسعید خدری ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، اس دوران کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ اپنے صحابہ کو نماز پڑھا رہے تھے کہ آپ ﷺ نے اچانک اپنے جوتے اتار کر اپنے بائیں طرف رکھ دیے ، جب صحابہ نے یہ دیکھا تو انہوں نے بھی اپنے جوتے اتار دیے ، جب رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز پڑھ چکے تو فرمایا :’’ تمہیں کس چیز نے جوتے اتارنے پر آمادہ کیا ؟‘‘ انہوں نے عرض کیا ، ہم نے آپ ﷺ کو جوتے اتارتے ہوئے دیکھا تو ہم نے بھی اتار دیے ۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جبریل میرے پاس تشریف لائے تو انہوں نے مجھے بتایا کہ ان میں نجاست ہے ، جب تم میں سے کوئی مسجد میں آئے تو وہ دیکھے اگر وہ اپنے جوتوں میں نجاست دیکھے تو وہ اسے صاف کرے پھر ان میں نماز پڑھ لے ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ ابوداؤد و الدارمی ۔
Abu Saeed Khudri bayan karte hain, iss dauran keh Rasool Allah apne sahaba ko namaz parha rahe thay keh aap ne achanak apne joote utaar kar apne baen taraf rakh diye, jab sahaba ne yeh dekha to unhon ne bhi apne joote utaar diye, jab Rasool Allah namaz parh chuke to farmaya: “Tumhein kis cheez ne joote utaarne par aamada kiya?” Unhon ne arz kiya, hum ne aap ko joote utaarte hue dekha to hum ne bhi utaar diye. Rasool Allah ne farmaya: “Jibra’eel mere pass tashreef laaye to unhon ne mujhe bataya keh inn mein najasat hai, jab tum mein se koi masjid mein aaye to woh dekhe agar woh apne jooton mein najasat dekhe to woh usse saaf kare phir inn mein namaz parh le.” Sahih, Riwayat Abu Dawood o Darmi.
وَعَن أبي سعيد الْخُدْرِيّ قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ إِذْ خلع نَعْلَيْه فَوَضَعَهُمَا عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ الْقَوْمُ أَلْقَوْا نِعَالَهُمْ فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ: «مَا حَمَلَكُمْ على إلقائكم نعالكم؟» قَالُوا: رَأَيْنَاك ألقيت نعليك فَأَلْقَيْنَا نِعَالَنَا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنْ جِبْرِيلَ أَتَانِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ فيهمَا قذرا إِذا جَاءَ أحدكُم إِلَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيَنْظُرْ فَإِنْ رَأَى فِي نَعْلَيْهِ قَذَرًا أَو أَذَى فَلْيَمْسَحْهُ وَلِيُصَلِّ فِيهِمَا» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ
