Umar bin al-Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: When the Mu'adhdhin says: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and one of you should make this response: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; (and when the Mu'adhdhin) says: I testify that there is no god but Allah, one should respond: I testify that there is no god but Allah, and when he says: I testify that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, one should make a response: I testify that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle. When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Come to prayer, one should make a response: There is no might and no power except with Allah. When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Come to salvation, one should respond: There is no might and no power except with Allah, and when he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, then make a response: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: There is no god but Allah, and he who makes a re- sponse from the heart: There is no god but Allah, he will enter Paradise.
حضرت عمر بن خطاب ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب مؤذن اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، کہے تو تم میں سے کوئی ایک اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، كہے، پھر مؤذن أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، کہے تو وہ بھی أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، کہے، پھر مؤذن أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ کہے تو وہ بھی أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ کہے، پھر وہ مؤذن حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ، کہے تو وہ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ، کہے، پھر مؤذن حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ، کہے، تو وہ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ، کہے، پھر مؤذن اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، کہے، تو وہ بھی اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، کہے، پھر مؤذن لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، کہے تو وہ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، کہے اور یہ کہنا دل سے ہو تو وہ جنت میں داخل ہو گا۔“
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Jab muazzin Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar kahe toh tum mein se koi ek Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar kahe, phir muazzin Ashhadu alla ilaha illallah kahe toh woh bhi Ashhadu alla ilaha illallah kahe, phir muazzin Ashhadu anna Muhammadar Rasulullah kahe toh woh bhi Ashhadu anna Muhammadar Rasulullah kahe, phir woh muazzin Hayya alas Salah kahe toh woh La hawla wala quwwata illa billah kahe, phir muazzin Hayya alal Falah kahe, toh woh La hawla wala quwwata illa billah kahe, phir muazzin Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar kahe, toh woh bhi Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar kahe, phir muazzin La ilaha illallah kahe toh woh La ilaha illallah kahe aur yeh kehna dil se ho toh woh jannat mein dakhil ho ga."
