باب الْكَشْفِ عَنْ مَعَايِبِ، رُوَاةِ الْحَدِيثِ وَنَقَلَةِ الأَخْبَارِ وَقَوْلِ الأَئِمَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ
Sahih Muslim Introduction 43
Ibn Quhzādh narrated to me, he said, I heard Wahb [bin Zam’ah] saying, on authority of Sufyān [bin Abd il-Mālik], on authority of Ibn al-Mubārak, he said:‘Baqiyyah [bin al-Walīd] is truthful of tongue however he transmits [Ḥadīth] from those who approach [the Muhaddithīn, i.e. are trustworthy] and from those who turn their backs on [the Muhaddithīn, i.e. and are weak]’.
سفیانؒ کہتے ہیں ابنِ مبارک ؒ نے کہا: ”بقیہ بذاتِ خود زبان کا سچا ہے، لیکن وہ ہر آنے جانے والے سے روایات لے لیتا ہے۔“ یعنی: وہ ہر ثقہ اور ضعیف سے روایت بیان کرتا ہے۔ جانچ پڑتال اور امتیاز کی قوت سے محروم ہے، اس لیے محدثین اس کی روایت قبول نہیں کرتے۔
Sufyan (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain Ibn-e-Mubarak (Rahmatullahi Alaih) ne kaha: "Baqiyyah (Rahmatullahi Alaih) bazat-e-khud zaban ka sacha hai, lekin woh har aane jane wale se riwayat le leta hai." Yaani: Woh har thiqa aur zaif se riwayat bayan karta hai. Janch partal aur imtiyaz ki quwwat se mahroom hai, is liye muhadditheen is ki riwayat qubool nahi karte.
حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ قُهْزَاذَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَهْبًا، يَقُولُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ بَقِيَّةُ صَدُوقُ اللِّسَانِ وَلَكِنَّهُ يَأْخُذُ عَمَّنْ أَقْبَلَ وَأَدْبَرَ .
