Sahih Muslim 1409a
Nubaih b. Wahb reported that 'Umar b. Ubaidullah intended to marry Talha b. 'Umar with the daughter of Shaiba b. Jubair; so he sent a messenger to Aban b. Uthman to attend the marriage, and he was at that time the Amir of Hajj. Aban said:I heard 'Uthman b. 'Affan say that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had stated: A Muhrim must neither marry himself, nor arrange the marriage of another one, nor should he make the proposal of marriage.
نبیہ بن وہب سے روایت ہے کہ عمر بن عبیداللہ نے طلحہ بن عمر کی شادی، شیبۃ بن جبیر کی بیٹی سے کرنے کا ارادہ کیا، تو ابان بن عثمان جو امیر الحج تھے کی طرف پیغام بھیجا کہ وہ نکاح میں آئیں، تو ابان نے جواب دیا، میں نے حضرت عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مُحرِم نہ اپنا نکاح کرے اور نہ دوسرے کا نکاح کروائے اور نہ نکاح کا پیغام بھیجے۔“
Nabih bin Wahab se riwayat hai ki Umar bin Ubaidullah ne Talha bin Umar ki shaadi, Shaybah bin Jubair ki beti se karne ka irada kiya, to Abaan bin Usman jo Amirul Hajj the ki taraf paigham bheja ki woh nikaah mein aayen, to Abaan ne jawab diya, maine Hazrat Usman bin Affan (Radi Allahu Anhu) se suna hai ki Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: “Muhrim na apna nikaah kare aur na dusre ka nikaah karwaaye aur na nikaah ka paigham bheje.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، أَنَّفَقَالَ أَبَانٌ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكَحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ " .
