Sahih Muslim 1555a
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbade the sale of the fruit of date-palms until it becomes mellow. We (some of the other narrators in the chain of transmitters) said, what does the word ‘mellow’ means? He said, the fruit turns red or yellow. Do not you see if Allah had checked (the growth of) fruits; then what for the wealth of your brother would be permissible for you?
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے روایت ہے، کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کھجوروں کا پھل رنگت کی تبدیلی سے پہلے فروخت کرنے سے منع فرمایا، ہم نے انس رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے پوچھا، ذهو سے کیا مراد ہے؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا، سرخ و زرد رنگ ہونا، بتاؤ، اگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے پھل سے محروم کر دیا، تو اپنے بھائی کا مال تمہارے لیے کیسے حلال ہو گیا؟
Hazrat Anas (Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) se riwayat hai, ki Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne khajooron ka phal rangat ki tabdeeli se pehle farokht karne se mana farmaya, hum ne Anas (Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) se poocha, zahw se kya murad hai? Unhone jawab diya, surkh o zard rang hona, batao, agar Allah Ta'ala ne phal se mahroom kar diya, to apne bhai ka maal tumhare liye kaise halal ho gaya?
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ ثَمَرِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ . فَقُلْنَا لأَنَسٍ مَا زَهْوُهَا قَالَ تَحْمَرُّ وَتَصْفَرُّ . أَرَأَيْتَكَ إِنْ مَنَعَ اللَّهُ الثَّمَرَةَ بِمَ تَسْتَحِلُّ مَالَ أَخِيكَ .
