Chapter: The night journey on which the messenger of Allah (saws) was taken up into the heavens and the prayers were enjoined

Sahih Muslim 162
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه), while recounting the Night journey of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), from the mosque of Ka'ba, reported : Three beings (angels) came to him in the mosque of the Ka'ba, while he was sleeping in the sacred mosque before it (the command of Night Journey and Ascension) was revealed to him. The rest of the Hadith is narrated like that of Thabit. However, some portions have occurred before and some of them have occurred after; some have been added and some deleted.
حضرت انس بن مالک ؓ اسرا کی رات کے بارے میں بیان کرتے ہیں: کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کعبہ کی مسجد سے اسرا کروایا گیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف وحی آنے سے پہلے آپ کے پاس تین اشخاص (فرشتے) آئے اور آپ مسجدِ حرام میں سوئے ہوئے تھے۔ شریکؒ نے واقعہ اسرا، ثابت بُنانیؒ کی حدیث کی طرح سنایا اور اس میں کچھ چیزوں کو آگے پیچھے کر دیا، اور کمی بیشی بھی کی۔ (اس لیے امام مسلمؒ نے پوری روایت نقل نہیں کی)
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Radiallahu Anhu) Isra ki raat ke baare mein bayan karte hain: Ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko Kaaba ki masjid se Isra karwaya gaya, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki taraf wahi aane se pehle Aap ke paas teen ashkhass (farishte) aaye aur Aap Masjid-e-Haram mein soye huye the. Shareek ne waqia-e-isra, Sabit Bunani ki hadith ki tarah sunaya aur is mein kuch cheezon ko aage peeche kar diya, aur kami beshi bhi ki. (Is liye Imam Muslim ne poori riwayat naqal nahin ki).
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِلاَلٍ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنْ لَيْلَةَ، أُسْرِيَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ مَسْجِدِ الْكَعْبَةِ أَنَّهُ جَاءَهُ ثَلاَثَةُ نَفَرٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِقِصَّتِهِ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ وَقَدَّمَ فِيهِ شَيْئًا وَأَخَّرَ وَزَادَ وَنَقَصَ .
