Chapter: The Meaning of the Saying of Allah, The Mighty and Sublime: And indeed he saw him at a second descent (another time)"; And did the prophet (saws) see his lord on the night of the Isra?

باب مَعْنَى قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى} وَهَلْ رَأَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَبَّهُ لَيْلَةَ الإِسْرَاءِ
Sahih Muslim 177b
Dawud reported on the same authorities the hadith as narrated above by Ibn 'Uliyya and added:She ('A'isha) said: If Muhammad were to conceal anything which was sent to him, he would have certainly concealed this verse:" And when thou saidst to him on whom Allah had conferred favour and thou too had conferred favour: Keep thy wife to thyself and fear Allah, and thou wast concealing in thy heart that which Allah was going to disclose, and thou wast fearing men while Allah has a better right that thou shouldst fear Him."
اور اسی سند سے ابنِ علیہؒ جیسی حدیث بیان کرتے ہیں اور جس میں یہ اضافہ ہے، حضرت عائشہؓ نے فرمایا: ”اگر محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر جو کچھ اتارا گیا ہے، اس کو چھپانے والے ہوتے تو یہ آیت چھپا لیتے: ”اس وقت کو یاد کرو! جب آپ اس شخص سے جس پر اللہ نے احسان فرمایا اور آپ نے انعام فرمایا، کہہ رہے تھے، اللہ سے ڈرو اور اپنی بیوی کو اپنے پاس روکے رکھو، اور آپ اپنے جی میں وہ چیز چھپا رہے تھے جسے اللہ ظاہر کرنا چاہتا تھا۔ آپ لوگوں کے (طعن و تشنیع) سے ڈر رہے تھے، حالانکہ ڈرنے کا حق دار اللہ ہی ہے کہ آپ اس سے ڈریں۔“ (الأحزاب: 37)
Aur isi sanad se Ibn-e-Ulayyah jaisi hadith bayan karte hain aur jis mein yeh izafa hai, Hazrat Aisha (Radiallahu Anha) ne farmaya: "Agar Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) par jo kuch utara gaya hai, is ko chupane wale hote to yeh ayat chupa lete: 'Is waqt ko yaad karo! Jab Aap is shakhs se jis par Allah ne ihsan farmaya aur Aap ne inam farmaya, keh rahe the, Allah se daro aur apni bivi ko apne paas roke rakho, aur Aap apne ji mein woh cheez chupa rahe the jise Allah zahir karna chahta tha. Aap logon ke (tan-o-tashneeh) se dar rahe the, halankay darne ka haqq-dar Allah hi hai ke Aap is se darein.' (Al-Ahzab: 37)."
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ وَزَادَ قَالَتْ وَلَوْ كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَاتِمًا شَيْئًا مِمَّا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ لَكَتَمَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ { وَإِذْ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِي أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَتُخْفِي فِي نَفْسِكَ مَا اللَّهُ مُبْدِيهِ وَتَخْشَى النَّاسَ وَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَخْشَاهُ}
