Sahih Muslim 1795
Ummul Momineen A'isha ( رضي الله تعالى عنها) said to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), O’ Allah’s Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), has there come upon you a day more terrible than the day of Uhud. He said, I have experienced you’re your people and the hardest treatment I met from them was what I received from them on the day of Aqaba. I went to Ibn Abd Yalil bin Abd Kulal with the purpose of inviting him to Islam, but he did not respond to me as I desired. So, I departed with signs of (deep) distress on my face. I did not recover until I reached Qarn al-Tha`alib. Where I raised my head, lo! near me was a cloud which had cast its shadow on me. I looked and lo! there was in it the angel Jibril () who called out to me and said, Allah, the Honoured and Glorious, has heard what your people have said to you, and how they have reacted to your call. And He has sent to you the angel in charge of the mountains so that you may order him what you wish with regard to them. The angel in charge of the mountains (then) called out to me, greeted me, and said, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), Allah has listened to what your people have said to you. I am the angel in charge of the mountains, and your Lord has sent me to you so that you may order me what you wished. If you wish that I should bring together the two mountains that stand opposite to each other at the extremes of Makka to crush them in between, (I would do that). But the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to him, I rather hope that Allah will produce from their descendants’ people who will pray Allah the One and will not ascribe partners to Him.
حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زوجہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا، اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! کیا آپ پر اُحد کے دن سے زیادہ سخت دن گزرا ہے؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مجھے تیری قوم کی طرف سے بہت تکالیف پہنچی اور سب سے زیادہ تکلیف عقبہ کے دن پہنچی، جب میں نے اپنے آپ کو ابن عبد یالیل بن عبد کلال کے سامنے پیش کیا، (اس کو اسلام کی دعوت دی) تو اس نے میری خواہش کے مطابق میری بات قبول نہ کی اور میں رنجیدہ حالت میں، اپنے سامنے والے رخ پر چل پڑا اور قرن ثعالب پر پہنچ کر میں اپنے آپ میں آیا (غم کی حالت سے نکلا) اور میں نے اپنا سر اٹھایا تو میں نے اچانک ایک بادل کو اپنے اوپر سایہ کیے ہوئے پایا، میں نے دیکھا تو اس میں جبریل علیہ السلام تھے تو اس نے مجھے آواز دی اور کہا، اللہ عزوجل نے تیری قوم نے تجھے جو کچھ کہا سن لیا اور جو انہوں نے تمہیں جواب دیا (وہ سن لیا) اور اس نے آپ کے پاس پہاڑوں کا منتظر فرشتہ بھیجا ہے، تاکہ آپ اسے جو چاہیں، ان کے بارے میں حکم دیں،صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آپ نے فرمایا تو مجھے پہاڑوں کے فرشتہ نے آواز دی اور مجھے سلام کہا، پھر کہا، اے محمد! اللہ تعالیٰ نے تیری قوم کا تجھے جواب سن لیا ہے اور میں پہاڑوں کا فرشتہ ہوں اور مجھے تیرے رب نے تیرے پاس اس لیے بھیجا کہ آپ مجھے ان کے بارے میں اپنا حکم فرمائیں تو آپ کیا چاہتے ہیں؟ اگر آپ چاہیں تو میں ان پر دونوں پہاڑوں کو ملا دوں۔“ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے جواب دیا، ”بلکہ میں یہ امید رکھتا ہوں کہ اللہ ان کی پشتوں سے ایسے لوگ نکالے گا، جو صرف اللہ کی بندگی کریں گے، اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں ٹھہرائیں گے۔“
Huzoor Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki zauja Hazrat Aisha (Razi Allahu Anha) bayan karti hain ke unhon ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se poocha, Aye Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Kya Aap par Uhud ke din se zyada sakht din guzra hai? To Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Mujhe teri qaum ki taraf se bahut takaleef pahunchi aur sabse zyada takleef Uqbah ke din pahunchi, jab maine apne aap ko Ibn Abd Yaleel bin Abd Kulal ke samne pesh kiya, (usko Islam ki dawat di) to usne meri khwahish ke mutabiq meri baat qabool na ki aur main ranjida halat mein, apne samne wale rukh par chal pada aur Qarn e Thaalib par pahunch kar main apne mein aaya (gham ki halat se nikla) aur maine apna sar uthaya to maine achanak ek badal ko apne oopar saya kiye hue paya, maine dekha to us mein Jibreel (Alaihi As-Salam) the to usne mujhe awaaz di aur kaha, Allah Azza wa Jall ne teri qaum ne tujhe jo kuch kaha sun liya aur jo unhon ne tumhe jawab diya (woh sun liya) aur usne Aap ke paas pahadon ka muntazir farishta bheja hai, taake Aap use jo chahain, unke bare mein hukm dein, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya to mujhe pahadon ke farishta ne awaaz di aur mujhe salam kaha, phir kaha, Aye Muhammad! Allah Ta'ala ne teri qaum ka tujhe jawab sun liya hai aur main pahadon ka farishta hoon aur mujhe tere Rab ne tere paas is liye bheja ke Aap mujhe unke bare mein apna hukm farmaein to Aap kya chahte hain? Agar Aap chahain to main un par donon pahadon ko mila doon." To Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne use jawab diya, "Balkeh main yeh umeed rakhta hoon ke Allah unki pushton se aise log nikale ga, jo sirf Allah ki bandagi karenge, uske saath kisi ko shareek nahi thehraenge."
وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَعَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادٍ الْعَامِرِيُّ - وَأَلْفَاظُهُمْ مُتَقَارِبَةٌ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ أَتَى عَلَيْكَ يَوْمٌ كَانَ أَشَدَّ مِنْ يَوْمِ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ " لَقَدْ لَقِيتُ مِنْ قَوْمِكِ وَكَانَ أَشَدَّ مَا لَقِيتُ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْعَقَبَةِ إِذْ عَرَضْتُ نَفْسِي عَلَى ابْنِ عَبْدِ يَالِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلاَلٍ فَلَمْ يُجِبْنِي إِلَى مَا أَرَدْتُ فَانْطَلَقْتُ وَأَنَا مَهْمُومٌ عَلَى وَجْهِي فَلَمْ أَسْتَفِقْ إِلاَّ بِقَرْنِ الثَّعَالِبِ فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي فَإِذَا أَنَا بِسَحَابَةٍ قَدْ أَظَلَّتْنِي فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا فِيهَا جِبْرِيلُ فَنَادَانِي فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ سَمِعَ قَوْلَ قَوْمِكَ لَكَ وَمَا رَدُّوا عَلَيْكَ وَقَدْ بَعَثَ إِلَيْكَ مَلَكَ الْجِبَالِ لِتَأْمُرَهُ بِمَا شِئْتَ فِيهِمْ قَالَ فَنَادَانِي مَلَكُ الْجِبَالِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَىَّ . ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ سَمِعَ قَوْلَ قَوْمِكَ لَكَ وَأَنَا مَلَكُ الْجِبَالِ وَقَدْ بَعَثَنِي رَبُّكَ إِلَيْكَ لِتَأْمُرَنِي بِأَمْرِكَ فَمَا شِئْتَ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَنْ أُطْبِقَ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَخْشَبَيْنِ " . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " بَلْ أَرْجُو أَنْ يُخْرِجَ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَصْلاَبِهِمْ مَنْ يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا " .
