Sahih Muslim 1804
Sahl bin Sa'd (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came to us while we were digging the ditch and were carrying the earth on our shoulders. (Seeing our condition), he said, O Allah, there is no life but the life of the Hereafter. So, forgive the Muhajirs and the Ansar.
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس اس وقت تشریف لائے، جبکہ ہم خندق کھود کر اپنے کندھوں پر مٹی منتقل کر رہے تھے، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے اللہ! زندگی تو بس آخرت کی زندگی ہے، اس لیے تو مہاجرین اور انصار کو معاف فرما دے۔“
Hazrat Sahl bin Sa'd (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) hamare paas us waqt tashreef laye, jabkeh hum khandaq khod kar apne kandhon par mitti muntaqil kar rahe the, to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Aye Allah! Zindagi to bas akhirat ki zindagi hai, isliye tu Muhajireen aur Ansar ko maaf farma de."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَنَحْنُ نَحْفِرُ الْخَنْدَقَ وَنَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ عَلَى أَكْتَافِنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اللَّهُمَّ لاَ عَيْشَ إِلاَّ عَيْشُ الآخِرَةِ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأَنْصَارِ " .
