Sahih Muslim 1856d
It has been narrated (through a different chain of transmitters) on the authority of Abu Zubair who heard Jabir (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) being questioned as to whether the Prophet (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) took the oath of allegiance at Dhu'l-Hulaifa. He said, no, but he offered his prayers at that place, and he administered the oath of allegiance nowhere except near the tree in (the plain of Hudaibiya. Ibn Juraij said that he was informed by Abu Zabair who heard Jabir bin Abdullah ( رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) say, the Prophet (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) prayed over the well at Hudaibiya (as a result of which its scanty water rose and increased so as to be sufficient for the 1400 or 1500 men who had encamped at the place).
ابو زبیر بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے سوال کیا گیا، کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ذوالحلیفہ میں بیعت لی تھی؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا، نہیں، لیکن وہاں نماز پڑھی تھی اور حدیبیہ کے درخت کے سوا آپ نے کسی درخت کے پاس بیعت نہیں لی اور ابن جریج بیان کرتے ہیں اور مجھے ابو زبیر نے بتایا کہ میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حدیبیہ کے کنواں پر دعا کی تھی۔
Abu Zubair bayan karte hain ke Hazrat Jabir (Razi Allahu Anhu) se sawal kiya gaya, kya Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Zul Hulaifah mein baiyat li thi? Unhon ne jawab diya, nahi, lekin wahan namaz padhi thi aur Hudaibiyah ke darakht ke siwa Aap ne kisi darakht ke paas baiyat nahi li aur Ibn Juraij bayan karte hain aur mujhe Abu Zubair ne bataya ke maine Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (Razi Allahu Anhu) ko yeh kehte hue suna, Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Hudaibiyah ke kuan par dua ki thi.
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَعْوَرُ، مَوْلَى سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُجَالِدٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، يُسْأَلُ هَلْ بَايَعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ فَقَالَ لاَ وَلَكِنْ صَلَّى بِهَا وَلَمْ يُبَايِعْ عِنْدَ شَجَرَةٍ إِلاَّ الشَّجَرَةَ الَّتِي بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ . قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ دَعَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى بِئْرِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ .
