Chapter: If a person is killed in the cause of Allah, all his sins will be expiated except debt

باب مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كُفِّرَتْ خَطَايَاهُ إِلاَّ الدَّيْنَ
Sahih Muslim 1885c
Another version of the tradition begins with the words, ‘a man came to the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) and he was sitting on the pulpit. He said, what do you find if I strike with the sword?’ The rest of the tradition is the same as the previous one.
امام صاحب اپنے دو اساتذہ سے حضرت ابو قتادہ ؓ کی روایت بیان کرتے ہیں، ایک دوسرے سے یہ زائد بیان کرتا ہے کہ ایک آدمی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، جبکہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم منبر پر تشریف فر تھے، اس نے کہا، بتائیے، اگر میں اپنی تلوار چلاؤں، آگے مذکورہ بالا حدیث ہے۔
Imam Sahab apne do asatiza se Hazrat Abu Qatadah (Razi Allahu Anhu) ki riwayat bayan karte hain, ek doosre se yeh za'id bayan karta hai ke ek aadmi Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas aaya, jabkeh Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) minbar par tashreef farma the, usne kaha, bataiye, agar main apni talwar chalaoon, aage mazkoora bala hadith hai.
وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَزِيدُ أَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ ضَرَبْتُ بِسَيْفِي . بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ .
