Chapter: One who fights so that the word of Allah will be supreme is fighting in the cause of Allah

باب مَنْ قَاتَلَ لِتَكُونَ كَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
Sahih Muslim 1904c
It has been narrated (through yet another chain of transmitters) on the authority of Abu Musa (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ), who said, we, came to the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) and said, Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم), one of us who fights to display his valor... (followed by the same words as we have in the previous tradition)
حضرت ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور پوچھا، یا رسول اللہ! ہم میں سے ایک آدمی اظہار شجاعت کے لیے لڑتا ہے، آگے مذکورہ بالا حدیث ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Musa (Raziallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke hum Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein haazir hue aur poocha, Ya Rasool Allah! Hum mein se ek aadmi izhar-e-shuja'at ke liye ladta hai, aage mazkoora bala Hadees hai.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يُقَاتِلُ مِنَّا شَجَاعَةً . فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ .
