Sahih Muslim 1954a
Ibn Buraida reported that Abdullah bin al-Mughaffal (رضئ ِہللا تعالی عنہ) saw a person from amongst his companions throwing small pebbles, whereupon he said, do not throw pebbles. for Allah's Apostle (صلى ہللا ِعليه و آله وسلم) did not like it, or he forbade flinging of pebbles since neither the game is taken thereby, nor an enemy defeated. but it may break a tooth or put out an eye. He, afterwards, again saw him flinging pebbles, and said to him, I inform you that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) did not approve, or he forbade flinging of pebbles, but if I see you again flinging pebbles. I will not speak with you.
حضرت عبداللہ بن مغفل رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے اپنے ساتھیوں سے ایک آدمی کو انگلیوں میں رکھ کر کنکر پھینکتے ہوئے دیکھا، تو اسے کہا، کنکر نہ پھینکو، کیونکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کو ناپسند کرتے تھے، یا کہا، خذف سے منع کرتے تھے، کیونکہ اس سے نہ شکار کیا جا سکتا ہے اور نہ دشمن ہی کو تکلیف پہنچائی جا سکتی ہے، لیکن یہ دانت توڑتا ہے اور آنکھ پھوڑتا ہے، پھر اس کے بعد پھر اسے کنکر پھینکتے دیکھا، تو اسے کہا، میں نے تمہیں آگاہ کیا تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کنکر پھینکنے کو ناپسند کرتے تھے یا اس سے منع کرتے تھے، پھر میں تمہیں کنکر پھینکتے دیکھ رہا ہوں، میں تم سے اتنا اتناعرصہ گفتگو نہیں کروں گا۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mughaffal (Raziallahu Anhu) ne apne sathiyon se ek aadmi ko ungliyon mein rakh kar kankar phenkte hue dekha, to use kaha, kankar na phenko, kyunke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) usko napasand karte the, ya kaha, khazaf se mana karte the, kyunke us se na shikar kiya ja sakta hai aur na dushman hi ko takleef pahunchai ja sakti hai, lekin yeh daant todta hai aur aankh phodta hai, phir uske baad phir use kankar phenkte dekha, to use kaha, main ne tumhein aagah kiya tha ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) kankar phenkne ko napasand karte the ya us se mana karte the, phir main tumhein kankar phenkte dekh raha hoon, main tum se itna itna arsa guftagu nahin karoon ga.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، قَالَ رَأَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُغَفَّلِ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَخْذِفُ فَقَالَ لَهُ لاَ تَخْذِفْ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَكْرَهُ - أَوْ قَالَ - يَنْهَى عَنِ الْخَذْفِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يُصْطَادُ بِهِ الصَّيْدُ وَلاَ يُنْكَأُ بِهِ الْعَدُوُّ وَلَكِنَّهُ يَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ وَيَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ . ثُمَّ رَآهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَخْذِفُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أُخْبِرُكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَوْ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْخَذْفِ ثُمَّ أَرَاكَ تَخْذِفُ لاَ أُكَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَةً كَذَا وَكَذَا .
