Chapter: The Prohibition Of Making Images Of Living Beings, And The Prohibition Of Using Images That Are Not Subjected To Disrespect In Furnishings And The Like; The Angels (Peace Be Upon Them) Do Not Enter A House In Which There Is An Image Or A Dog

بَاب تَحْرِيمِ تَصْوِيرِ صُورَةِ الْحَيَوَانِ وَتَحْرِيمِ اتِّخَاذِ مَا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ غَيْرُ مُمْتَهَنَةٍ بِالْفَرْشِ وَنَحْوِهِ
Sahih Muslim 2109b
This Hadith has been reported on the authority of Abu Mu`awiya through another chain of transmitters (and the words are), ‘verily, the most grievously tormented people amongst the denizens of Hell on the Day of Resurrection would be the painters of the (objectionable) pictures.’ The rest of the Hadith is the same.
یہی روایت امام صاحب اپنے تین اساتذہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں، ان میں سے دو کی روایت میں یہ الفاظ ہیں ”اہل نار میں سے سخت ترین عذاب، قیامت کے دن تصویر سازوں کو ہو گا۔“ یا ”مصور قیامت کے دن سخت ترین عذاب والے لوگوں میں سے ہوں گے“ اور چوتھے استاد کی روایت وکیع کی مذکورہ بالا روایت کی طرح ہے۔
Yehi riwayat Imam Sahib apne teen asatiza se bayan karte hain, un mein se do ki riwayat mein yeh alfaz hain "Ahl e naar mein se sakht tareen azab, qayamat ke din tasweer sazon ko ho ga." Ya "Musawwir qayamat ke din sakht tareen azab wale logon mein se honge" aur chauthe ustaad ki riwayat Wakee' ki mazkora bala riwayat ki tarah hai.
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ . وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَحْيَى وَأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، " إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَذَابًا الْمُصَوِّرُونَ " . وَحَدِيثُ سُفْيَانَ كَحَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ .
