Chapter: It Is Recommended To Recite Ruqyah For The Evil Eye, Pustules, And Stings

باب اسْتِحْبَابِ الرُّقْيَةِ مِنَ الْعَيْنِ وَالنَّمْلَةِ وَالْحُمَةِ وَالنَّظْرَةِ
Sahih Muslim 2198
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) granted sanction to the family of Hazm for incantation (in mitigating the effect of the poison of) the snake, and, he said -to Asma' daughter of 'Umais:What is this that I see the children of my brother lean? Are they not fed properly? She said: No, but they fall under the influence of an evil eve. He said: Use incantation She recited (the words of incantation before him), whereupon he (by approving them) said: Yes, use this incantation for them.
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حزم کے خاندان کو سانپ سے دم کرانے کی اجازت دی اور اسماء بنت عمیس رضی اللہ تعالی عنہا سے فرمایا: ”کیا وجہ ہے، میں اپنے بھائی جعفر کے بچوں کو دبلا پتلا دیکھ رہا ہوں، کیا انہیں غذا کی ضرورت ہے۔“ اس نے کہا، نہیں، لیکن انہیں نظر بہت جلد لگ جاتی ہے، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”انہیں دم کرو۔“ تو میں نے آپ پر دم پیش کیا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”انہیں دم کرو۔“
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (Razi Allahu Anhuma) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Hazm ke khandan ko saanp se dam karane ki ijazat di aur Asma bint Umais (Razi Allahu Anha) se farmaya: "Kya wajah hai, main apne bhai Jafar ke bachon ko dubla patla dekh raha hoon, kya inhen ghiza ki zaroorat hai?" Usne kaha, nahi, lekin inhen nazar bahut jald lag jati hai, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Inhen dam karo." To main ne Aap par dam pesh kiya, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Inhen dam karo."
حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لآلِ حَزْمٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ وَقَالَ لأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ " مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً تُصِيبُهُمُ الْحَاجَةُ " . قَالَتْ لاَ وَلَكِنِ الْعَيْنُ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ . قَالَ " ارْقِيهِمْ " . قَالَتْ فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ " ارْقِيهِمْ " .
