Chapter: (Evil) Omens And Al-Fa'l, And That Which May Be Regarded As Inauspicious

باب الطِّيَرَةِ وَالْفَأْلِ وَمَا يَكُونُ فِيهِ الشُّؤْمُ
Sahih Muslim 2225b
'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:There is no transitive disease, no ill omen, and bad luck is lound in the house, or wife or horse. Note: The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کوئی بیماری متعدی نہیں ہے اور نہ برا سگون ہے، نحوست صرف تین چیزوں میں ہے، عورت، گھوڑا اور گھر۔“
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Razi Allahu Anhuma) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Koi bimari muta'addi nahi hai aur na bura shagoon hai, nahusat sirf teen cheezon mein hai, aurat, ghoda aur ghar."
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ، وَسَالِمٍ، ابْنَىْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَإِنَّمَا الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلاَثَةٍ الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالدَّارِ " .
