Sahih Muslim 2310a, 2309e
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had the best disposition amongst people. He sent me on an errand one day, and I said, by Allah, I would not go. I had, however, this idea in my mind that I would do as Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had commanded me to do. I went out until I happened to come across children who had been playing in the street. In the meanwhile, Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came there, and he caught me by the back of my neck from behind me. As I looked towards him, I found him smiling and he said, Unais, did you go where I commanded you to go? I said, Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), yes, I am going. Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) further said, I served him for nine years, but I know not that he ever said to me about a thing which I had done why I did that, or about a thing I had left as to why I had not done that.
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا اخلاق سب سے اچھا تھا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک دن ایک ضرورت کے لیے مجھے بھیجتا چاہا تو میں نے کہا، الہ کی قسم! میں نہیں جاؤں گا اور میرے جی میں یہی تھا کہ اللہ کے نبی نے جس مقصد کے لیے مجھے بھیجنا چاہا ہے، میں اس کے لیے جاؤں گا۔ سومیں نکلا، حتی کہ بچوں کے پاس سے گزرااور وہ بازار میں) کھیل رہے تھے، (میں ان کے پاس رک گیا) اچانک رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پیچھے سے آ کر میری گدی کوپکر لیا تومیں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کر طرف دیکھا اور آپ ہنس رہے تھے، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے انیس! کیا جدھر میں نے تمہیں بھیجا تھا ادھر گئے ہو؟“ میں کہا، جی ہاں میں جاتا ہوں، اے اللہ کے رسول!
Hazrat Anas (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka akhlaq sab se achha tha, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek din ek zaroorat ke liye mujhe bhejta chaha to main ne kaha, Allah ki qasam! main nahi jaunga aur mere ji mein yahi tha ke Allah ke Nabi ne jis maqsad ke liye mujhe bhejta chaha hai, main uske liye jaunga. So main nikla, hatta ke bachon ke paas se guzra aur woh bazaar mein) khel rahe the, (main unke paas ruk gaya) achanak Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne peeche se aa kar meri guddi ko pakad liya to main ne Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki taraf dekha aur Aap hans rahe the, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Aye Anis! kya jidhar main ne tumhen bheja tha udhar gaye ho?" Main kaha, ji haan main jata hoon, aye Allah ke Rasool!
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْنٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، زَيْدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمَّارٍ - قَالَ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ أَنَسٌ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَحْسَنِ النَّاسِ خُلُقًا فَأَرْسَلَنِي يَوْمًا لِحَاجَةٍ فَقُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَذْهَبُ . وَفِي نَفْسِي أَنْ أَذْهَبَ لِمَا أَمَرَنِي بِهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَخَرَجْتُ حَتَّى أَمُرَّ عَلَى صِبْيَانٍ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي السُّوقِ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ قَبَضَ بِقَفَاىَ مِنْ وَرَائِي - قَالَ - فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَ " يَا أُنَيْسُ أَذَهَبْتَ حَيْثُ أَمَرْتُكَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ أَنَا أَذْهَبُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ خَدَمْتُهُ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ مَا عَلِمْتُهُ قَالَ لِشَىْءٍ صَنَعْتُهُ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا أَوْ لِشَىْءٍ تَرَكْتُهُ هَلاَّ فَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا .
