Chapter: The Virtues Of Musa, Peace Be Upon Him

باب مِنْ فَضَائِلِ مُوسَى صلى الله عليه وسلم
Sahih Muslim 2374a
Abu Sa'id Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that a Jew who had received a blow at his face came to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم); the rest of the Hadith is the same, up to the hand (where the words are), ‘that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, I do not know whether he would be one who would fall into swoon and would recover before me or he would be compensated for his swooning at Tur (and thus he would not swoon on this occasion) of Resurrection.
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں،نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک شخص آیا جس کے چہرے پر تھپڑ مارا گیا تھا۔اس کے بعد زہری کی روایت کے ہم معنی حدیث بیان کی، مگر انھوں نے (یوں)کہا: (رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:)"مجھے معلوم نہیں وہ (موسیٰ ؑ) ان میں سے تھے جنھیں بے ہوشی تو ہو ئی لیکن افاقہ مجھ سے پہلے ہو گیا۔یا کوہ طور کا صعقہ کافی سمجھا گیا۔"
Hazrat Abu Said Khudri (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain, Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas ek shakhs aaya jis ke chehre par thappar mara gaya tha. Is ke baad Zuhri ki riwayat ke hum mani hadees bayan ki, magar unhon ne (yun) kaha: (Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya:) "Mujhe maloom nahi woh (Musa Alaihis Salam) un mein se thay jinhein be-hoshi toh hui lekin afaqa mujh se pehle ho gaya. Ya koh-e-Toor ka sa'iqa kafi samjha gaya."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ، يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ جَاءَ يَهُودِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ لُطِمَ وَجْهُهُ . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ " فَلاَ أَدْرِي أَكَانَ مِمَّنْ صَعِقَ فَأَفَاقَ قَبْلِي أَوِ اكْتَفَى بِصَعْقَةِ الطُّورِ " .
