Sahih Muslim 2673d
Urwa bin Zubair narrated that Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) said to him that this news has reached me that Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) would pass by us during the Hajj season, so you meet him and ask him (about religious matters) as he has acquired great knowledge from Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). I thus met him and asked him about things which he narrated from Allah's Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). And amongst these the one he mentioned was that Allah's Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, verily, Allah does not take away knowledge from people directly, but he takes away the scholars and consequently takes away (knowledge) along with them and leaves amongst persons the ignorant as their leaders who deliver religious verdicts without (adequate) knowledge and themselves go astray and lead others astray. 'Urwa said, when I narrated this to Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها), she deemed it too much (to believe) and thus showed reluctance to accept that (as perfectly true) and said to, 'Urwa, did he say to you that he had heard Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as saying? Urwa had forgotten to ask this from Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (رضي الله تعالى عنه). So, when it was the next year, she Ummul Momineen A'isha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) said to Urwa, Ibn Amr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) has come (for Hajj), so meet him. talk to him and ask him about this Hadith that he narrated to you (last year on the occasion of the Hajj) pertaining to knowledge. Urwa said, so I met him, and asked about it and he narrated to me exactly like one that he had narrated (to me) for the first time. So, when I informed her about that, she said, I do not think but this that he has certainly told the truth and I find that he has neither made any addition to it, nor missed anything from it.
حضرت عروہ رحمۃ اللہ علیہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، مجھے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا:"اے میرے بھانجے! مجھے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ حج کے لیے ہمارے ہاں وسے گزرنے والے ہیں تو ان سے مل کر ان سے دریافت کرو، کیونکہ انھوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بہت سا علم حاصل کیا ہے چنانچہ میں انہیں ملا اور ان سے ان چند باتوں کے بارے میں دریافت کیا، جو وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیان کرتے تھے جو باتیں انھوں نے بیان کیں ان میں یہ بھی تھا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:"بے شک اللہ لوگوں کے دلوں سے علم نہیں نکالے گا، لیکن علماء کو قبض کرے گا،سو علم بھی ان کے ساتھ اٹھ جائے گااور لوگوں میں جاہلوں کو سردار بنا چھوڑےگا، جو انہیں علم کے بغیر جوابات دیں گے خود بھی گمراہوں گے اور دوسروں کو بھی گمراہ کریں گے۔"عروہ رحمۃ اللہ علیہ بیان کرتے ہیں تو جب میں نے یہ روایت حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کو سنائی، انھوں نے اس کو بڑا سمجھا اور اس کا انکار اور اور پوچھا کیا تجھے عبد اللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بتایا تھا کہ انھوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے؟ عروہ کہتے ہیں جب اگلا سال آیا توانھوں نے (عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا) نے مجھے فرمایا، حضرت ابن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ آئے ہوئے ہیں انہیں ملو، پھر بات چیت کا آغاز کرو، حتی کہ تم ان سے اس حدیث کے بارے میں سوال کرنا جو انھو ں نے تمھیں علم کے بارے میں سنائی تھی، چنانچہ میں انہیں ملا اور ان سے دریافت کیا تو انھوں نے مجھے پہلی دفعہ کی طرح حدیث سنادی تو جب میں نے اس کی خبر حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کو دی انھوں نے کہا، میرے خیال میں انھوں نے صحیح کہا ہے میں جان رہی ہوں انھوں نے اس میں کوئی کمی و بیشی نہیں کی۔
Hazrat 'Urwah (Rahmatullah Alaih) bin Zubair (Raziyallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, mujhe Hazrat 'Aisha (Raziyallahu Anha) ne farmaya: "Aye mere bhanje! Mujhe maloom hua hai ki Hazrat Abdullah bin 'Amr (Raziyallahu Anhuma) Hajj ke liye hamare haan se guzarne wale hain toh un se mil kar un se daryaft karo, kyunki unhone Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se bahut sa ilm hasil kiya hai." Chunanchah main unhein mila aur un se un chand baton ke bare mein daryaft kiya, jo woh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se bayan karte the. Jo baaten unhone bayan keen un mein yeh bhi tha ki Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Beshak Allah logon ke dilon se ilm nahin nikala, lekin 'ulama ko qabz karega, so ilm bhi un ke saath uth jayega aur logon mein jahilon ko sardar bana chhodega, jo unhein ilm ke baghair jawabat denge, khud bhi gumrah honge aur doosron ko bhi gumrah karenge." 'Urwah (Rahmatullah Alaih) bayan karte hain, toh jab maine yeh riwayat Hazrat 'Aisha (Raziyallahu Anha) ko sunayi, unhone us ko bada samjha aur us ka inkar kiya aur poocha, "Kya tujhe Abdullah bin 'Amr (Raziyallahu Anhuma) ne bataya tha ki unhone Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate hue suna hai?" 'Urwah kehte hain, jab agla saal aaya toh unhone ('Aisha (Raziyallahu Anha)) ne mujhe farmaya, "Hazrat Ibn 'Amr (Raziyallahu Anhuma) aaye hue hain unhein milo, phir baat cheet ka aghaz karo, hatta ke tum un se us hadith ke bare mein sawal karna jo unhone tumhein ilm ke bare mein sunayi thi." Chunanchah main unhein mila aur un se daryaft kiya toh unhone mujhe pehli dafa ki tarah hadith sunadi. Toh jab maine us ki khabar Hazrat 'Aisha (Raziyallahu Anha) ko di unhone kaha, "Mere khayal mein unhone sahih kaha hai main jaan rahi hoon unhone is mein koi kami wa beshi nahin ki."
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التُّجِيبِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا الأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ قَالَتْ لِي عَائِشَةُ يَا ابْنَ أُخْتِي بَلَغَنِي أَنَّحَمَلَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عِلْمًا كَثِيرًا - قَالَ - فَلَقِيتُهُ فَسَاءَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ يَذْكُرُهَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَكَانَ فِيمَا ذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَنْتَزِعُ الْعِلْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ انْتِزَاعًا وَلَكِنْ يَقْبِضُ الْعُلَمَاءَ فَيَرْفَعُ الْعِلْمَ مَعَهُمْ وَيُبْقِي فِي النَّاسِ رُءُوسًا جُهَّالاً يُفْتُونَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَيَضِلُّونَ وَيُضِلُّونَ " . قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَلَمَّا حَدَّثْتُ عَائِشَةَ بِذَلِكَ أَعْظَمَتْ ذَلِكَ وَأَنْكَرَتْهُ قَالَتْ أَحَدَّثَكَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ هَذَا قَالَ عُرْوَةُ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ قَابِلٌ قَالَتْ لَهُ إِنَّ ابْنَ عَمْرٍو قَدْ قَدِمَ فَالْقَهُ ثُمَّ فَاتِحْهُ حَتَّى تَسْأَلَهُ عَنِ الْحَدِيثِ الَّذِي ذَكَرَهُ لَكَ فِي الْعِلْمِ - قَالَ - فَلَقِيتُهُ فَسَاءَلْتُهُ فَذَكَرَهُ لِي نَحْوَ مَا حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ فِي مَرَّتِهِ الأُولَى . قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فَلَمَّا أَخْبَرْتُهَا بِذَلِكَ قَالَتْ مَا أَحْسِبُهُ إِلاَّ قَدْ صَدَقَ أَرَاهُ لَمْ يَزِدْ فِيهِ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يَنْقُصْ .
