Chapter: Making up a missed prayer. And it is recommended to hasten to make it up

باب قَضَاءِ الصَّلاَةِ الْفَائِتَةِ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ تَعْجِيلِ قَضَائِهَا
Sahih Muslim 682b
'Imran b. Husain reported:We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in a journey and we travelled throughout the night till at the end, just before dawn, we lay down (for rest), and nothing is sweeter for a traveller than this and none awakened us but the heat of the sun, and the rest of the hadith is the same (as mentioned above) except this additien:" When 'Umar b. Khattab woke up, he saw what had happened to the people. And he was a man having a big belly and strongly built; he recited takbir in a loud voice till the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) woke up by the loudness of his voice in takbir. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got up, the people told him what had happened. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: There is no harm; you better proceed further," and (the rest of the hadith) was narrated.
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم ایک سفر میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے تو ہم رات بھر چلتے رہے۔ حتیٰ کہ رات کا آخری وقت یعنی صبح کے قریب کا وقت ہوگیا تو ہم اس طرح لیٹ گئے کہ مسافر کو اس سے زیادہ لذیذ لیٹنا نہیں ملتا۔ پھر ہمیں سورج کی گرمی ہی نے بیدار کیا۔ آگے کچھ کمی و بیشی کے ساتھ اسلم بن زریر کی مذکورہ بالا روایت کی طرح بیان کیا اور اس حدیث میں یہ بھی ہے کہ جب عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیدار ہوئے اور انہوں نے لوگوں کی پریشان کن حالت دیکھی اور وہ بلند آواز اور زور آور تھے تو انہوں نے اللّٰہ اکبر کہنا شروع کیا اور تکبیر کو بلند آواز سے کہا حتیٰ کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کی بلند آواز سے بیدار ہو گئے۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیدار ہو گئے تو لوگوں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اپنی پریشانی کا تذکرہ کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کوئی نقصان نہیں، کوچ کرو“ اور حدیث کو آخری وقت تک بیان کیا۔
Hazrat Imran bin Hussain (Radiyallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke hum ek safar mein Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ke saath thay toh hum raat bhar chalte rahe. Hatta ke raat ka aakhri waqt yani subha ke qareeb ka waqt hogaya toh hum is tarah lait gaye ke musafir ko is se ziada lazeez laitna nahi milta. Phir humein suraj ki garmi hi ne bidaar kiya. Aage kuch kami-o-beshi ke saath Aslam bin Zureer ki mazkoora bala riwayat ki tarah bayan kiya aur is hadith mein yeh bhi hai ke jab Umar bin Khattab (Radiyallahu Anhu) bidaar huay aur unhone logon ki pareshan kun halat dekhi aur woh buland awaaz aur zor aawar thay toh unhone Allahu Akbar kehna shuru kiya aur takbeer ko buland awaaz se kaha hatta ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) un ki buland awaaz se bidaar huay. Jab Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) bidaar ho gaye toh logon ne Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) se apni pareshani ka tazkira kiya toh Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Koi nuqsan nahi, kooch karo' aur hadith ko aakhri waqt tak bayan kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ فَسَرَيْنَا لَيْلَةً حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ قُبَيْلَ الصُّبْحِ وَقَعْنَا تِلْكَ الْوَقْعَةَ الَّتِي لاَ وَقْعَةَ عِنْدَ الْمُسَافِرِ أَحْلَى مِنْهَا فَمَا أَيْقَظَنَا إِلاَّ حَرُّ الشَّمْسِ . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ سَلْمِ بْنِ زَرِيرٍ وَزَادَ وَنَقَصَ . وَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَرَأَى مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسَ وَكَانَ أَجْوَفَ جَلِيدًا فَكَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ حَتَّى اسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِشِدَّةِ صَوْتِهِ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَكَوْا إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ ضَيْرَ ارْتَحِلُوا " . وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ .
