Aswad bin Saree Tameemi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have composed some verses in praise of Allah, the Exalted, and in your praise as well." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Recite the verses you have written in praise of Allah, the Exalted, and leave out those about me." So I began reciting the verses. A tall, contented-looking man entered. As soon as he arrived, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped me from reciting. When he left, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said again, "Recite." I started reciting again. Not much time had passed when that man came back, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped me again. When he left, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told me again to recite. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, who is this man? When he enters, you silence me, and when he leaves, you ask me to resume reciting." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "This is Umar bin Khattab, and there is nothing of falsehood in him."
** This hadith has a sound chain of narrators, but Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) did not include it in their collections.
" حضرت اسود بن سریع تمیمی رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : میں نبی اکرم ﷺ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوا ، میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے نبی ! میں نے کچھ اشعار کہے ہیں جن میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد و ثناء کی ہے اور آپ کی بھی مدح کی ہے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : تم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد کے سلسلے میں جو اشعار لکھے ہیں وہ سناؤ ، اور جو میرے بارے میں لکھے ہیں وہ رہنے دو ، چنانچہ میں نے اشعار سنانا شروع کئے ، ایک طویل القامت قناعت پسند شخص اندر آیا ۔ اس کے آتے ہی آپ ﷺ نے مجھے پڑھنے سے روک دیا ، جب وہ چلا گیا تو آپ ﷺ نے دوبارہ فرمایا : سناؤ ، میں نے پھر سنانا شروع کر دئیے ، ابھی زیادہ وقت نہیں گزرا تھا کہ وہ آدمی پھر آ گیا اور آپ ﷺ نے پھر مجھے پڑھنے سے روک دیا ، جب وہ چلا گیا تو آپ ﷺ نے مجھے پھر فرمایا کہ پڑھو ، میں نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ﷺ یہ شخص کون ہے ؟ جب یہ اندر آتا ہے تو آپ مجھے چپ کروا دیتے ہیں اور جب چلا جاتا ہے تو آپ دوبارہ سننا شروع فرما دیتے ہیں ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : یہ عمر بن خطاب ہے اور اس میں باطل کی کوئی چیز نہیں ہے ۔
٭٭ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Aswad bin Saree Tameemi Radi Allaho Anho farmate hain : mein Nabi Akram SAW ki bargah mein haazir hua, mein ne kaha : Aye Allah ke Nabi! mein ne kuch ashaar kahe hain jin mein Allah Ta'ala ki hamd o sana ki hai aur aap ki bhi madah ki hai, aap SAW ne farmaya : tum ne Allah Ta'ala ki hamd ke silsile mein jo ashaar likhe hain wo sunao, aur jo mere bare mein likhe hain wo rehnedo, chunancha mein ne ashaar sunana shuru kiye, ek tawil ul qamat qana'at pasand shakhs andar aaya . Is ke aate hi aap SAW ne mujhe parhne se rok diya, jab wo chala gaya to aap SAW ne dobara farmaya : sunao, mein ne phir sunana shuru kar diye, abhi zyada waqt nahi guzra tha ki wo aadmi phir aa gaya aur aap SAW ne phir mujhe parhne se rok diya, jab wo chala gaya to aap SAW ne mujhe phir farmaya ki parho, mein ne kaha : Ya Rasool Allah SAW ye shakhs kaun hai? Jab ye andar aata hai to aap mujhe chup karwa dete hain aur jab chala jata hai to aap dobara sunna shuru farma dete hain . Aap SAW ne farmaya : Ye Umar bin Khattab hai aur is mein baatil ki koi cheez nahi hai. ** ye hadees sahih ul isnad hai lekin Imam Bukhari rehmatullah alaih aur Imam Muslim rehmatullah alaih ne is ko naqal nahi kiya .
