Mustadrak Al Hakim 1621
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best companions are four, and the best army is four thousand, and it will not be defeated by twelve thousand because of its small number." ** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of both Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), but neither of them narrated it. And there are four types of differences of opinion regarding Zuhri, which I have explained in the book "Al-Takhlis".
" حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا : بہترین ساتھی چار ہیں : اور بہترین لشکر چار ہزار اور یہ قلت کی وجہ سے 12000 سے مغلوب نہیں ہو سکتے ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ و امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ دونوں کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن دونوں نے ہی اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔ اور اس کے اندر زہری پر چار طرح کا اختلاف ہے جس کی تشریح میں نے کتاب التخلیص میں کر دی ہے ۔"
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya : Behtarin sathi char hain : aur behtarin lashkar char hazar aur yeh qullat ki wajah se 12000 se maghloob nahi ho sakte . ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih wa Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih dono ke meyar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin dono ne hi ise naqal nahi kya . Aur is ke andar Zahri par char tarah ka ikhtilaf hai jis ki tashreeh maine kitab altakhlees mein kar di hai .
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ بِمِصْرَ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ثنا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ الصَّحَابَةِ أَرْبَعَةٌ، وَخَيْرُ الْجُيُوشِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافٍ، وَلَمْ يُغْلَبِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ» هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ، وَالْخِلَافُ فِيهِ عَلَى الزُّهْرِيِّ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ أَوْجُهٍ قَدْ شَرَحْتُهَا فِي كِتَابِ التَّلْخِيصِ "
