Mustadrak Al Hakim 1884
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever says thrice this supplication, his sins will be forgiven, even if he were to flee from battle. (And the supplication is): 'Astaghfirullah-al-'Adheem-alladhi laa ilaaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atoobu ilayhi (three times)' **This hadith is authentic according to the criteria of both Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on them), however, neither of them narrated it.**
" حضرت ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا : جو شخص تین مرتبہ یہ دعا مانگ لے ، اس کے گناہ بخش دیے جاتے ہیں ، اگرچہ وہ جنگ سے بھاگنے والا کیوں نہ ہو ( وہ دعا یہ ہے ) : ’’ استغفر اللّٰہ العظیم الذی لا الٰہ الّا ھو الحیّ القیّوم ، واتوب اِلیہ ثلاثا ۔ ‘‘ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ و امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ دونوں کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن دونوں نے ہی اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Jo shakhs teen martaba yeh dua maang le, uske gunah bakhsh diye jate hain, agarche woh jang se bhagne wala kyon na ho (woh dua yeh hai): ‘Astaghfirullah al Azeem allazi la ilaha illa Huwal Haiyul Qayyum, wa Atubu ilaih. (3 martaba)’ ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih wa Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih dono ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin dono ne hi ise naqal nahin kiya.
أَنْبَأَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ قَالَ: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ، وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، غُفِرَتْ لَهُ ذُنُوبُهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ فَارًّا مِنَ الزَّحْفِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
