Mustadrak Al Hakim 3077
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about faith, so he recited this verse: "Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day" (Al-Baqarah 2:177) 'The real virtue is not that you turn your face towards the east or the west, but the real virtue is that you believe in Allah and the Day of Judgment.' (Translation Kanz al-Imaan, Imam Ahmad Raza Khan) Until he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited the entire verse. Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) again asked him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) the same question, so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited the same verse again. He asked the same question again, so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited the same verse again. When he asked again, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When you do good, then love it with your heart, and when you commit a sin, then consider it evil from the heart. ** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), but the two Sheikhs (may Allah have mercy on them) did not narrate it.
" حضرت ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ایمان کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی : لَیْسَ الْبِرَّ اَنْ تُوَلُّوْا وُجُوْھَکُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَ ٰلکِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ ٰامَنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَ الْیَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ ( البقرۃ : 177 ) ’’ کچھ اصل نیکی یہ نہیں کہ مُنہ مشرق یا مغرب کی طرف کر وہاں اصلی نیکی یہ کہ ایمان لائے اللہ اور قیامت پر ‘‘۔ ( ترجمہ کنزالایمان ، امام احمد رضا رحمۃ اللہ علیہ ) یہاں تک کہ آپ ﷺ نے پوری آیت پڑھ ڈالی ۔ حضرت ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ نے دوبارہ آپ ﷺ سے یہی سوال کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے دوبارہ یہی آیت تلاوت کی ، انہوں نے پھر یہی سوال کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے پھر یہی آیت تلاوت کی ، انہوں نے پھر سوال کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : جب تو نیکی کرے تو اپنے دل سے اس سے محبت بھی کر اور جب تجھ سے گناہ سرزد ہو جائے تو دل سے اس کو بُرا جان ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Abuzar Raziallahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki unhon ne Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se imaan ke bare mein poocha to aap ne ye ayat tilawat ki: Laisal birra an tuwalloo wujoohakum qibalal mashriqi wal maghribi walakinnal birra man aamana billahi wal yaomil akhir (Al Baqarah 177). Kuch asl neki ye nahi ki munh mashriq ya maghrib ki taraf kar wohaan asli neki ye ke imaan laye Allah aur qayamat par. (Tarjuma Kanzul Imaan, Imam Ahmad Raza Rahmatullahi Alaih) Yahan tak ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poori ayat parh dali. Hazrat Abuzar Raziallahu Anhu ne dobara aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se yahi sawal kiya to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne dobara yahi ayat tilawat ki, unhon ne phir yahi sawal kiya to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phir yahi ayat tilawat ki, unhon ne phir sawal kiya to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Jab tu neki kare to apne dil se us se mohabbat bhi kar aur jab tujh se gunah sarzad ho jaye to dil se us ko bura jaan. ** Ye hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullahi Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullahi Alaih ke meyar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Shaykhayn Rahmatullahi Alaihima ne ise naql nahi kiya.
أَخْبَرَنِي الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْجَزَرِيُّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْإِيمَانِ، فَتَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {لَيْسَ الْبِرُّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخَرِ} [البقرة: 177] حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنَ الْآيَةِ قَالَ: ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ أَيْضًا فَتَلَاهَا، ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ أَيْضًا فَتَلَاهَا، ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ: «وَإِذَا عَمِلْتَ حَسَنَةً أَحَبَّهَا قَلْبُكَ، وَإِذَا عَمِلْتَ سَيِّئَةً أَبْغَضَهَا قَلْبُكَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3077 - كيف وهو منقطع
