Mustadrak Al Hakim 3445
Regarding the verse: "He cried out in the darkness" (Al-Anbiya: 87), Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “He cried out in the darkness (meaning) the darkness of the night, (secondly) the darkness of the belly of the fish, (and thirdly), the darkness of the sea.” ** This hadith is Sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, however, both of them did not narrate it.
" حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ : فَنَادآٰی فِی الظُّلُمٰتِ ( الانبیاء : 87 ) ’’ تو اندھیروں میں پکارا ‘‘۔ ( ترجمہ کنزالایمان ، امام احمد رضا رحمۃ اللہ علیہ ) کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں : ایک تو رات کا اندھیرا ( تھا دوسرا ) مچھلی کے پیٹ کا اندھیرا ( اور تیسرا ) دریا کا اندھیرا ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood Raziallahu Anhu Fanaday fil Zulumaat (Alanbiya: 87) To andheron mein pukara (Tarjuma Kanzul Iman, Imam Ahmad Raza Rehmatullah Alaih) Ke mutaliq farmate hain: Ek to raat ka andhera (tha doosra) machhli ke pet ka andhera (aur teesra) darya ka andhera. ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rehmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rehmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhain Rehmatullah Alaihema ne ise naqal nahin kya.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَ إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {فَنَادَى فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ} [الأنبياء: 87] قَالَ: «ظُلْمَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَظُلْمَةُ بَطْنِ الْحُوتِ وَظُلْمَةُ الْبَحْرِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3445 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
