Mention of the avoidance of combat by Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him)
تذكرة تجنب حضرة سعد بن أبي وقاص رضي الله عنه القتال
Mustadrak Al Hakim 4682
Abdullah (bin Masud, may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Looking at the face of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is an act of worship." ** Amr bin Marrah followed A'mash in narrating this hadith from Ibrahim Nakha'i (as follows).
" حضرت عبداللہ ( بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ ) فرماتے ہیں : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا : علی ( رضی اللہ عنہ ) کے چہرے کی طرف دیکھنا عبادت ہے ۔ ٭٭ اس حدیث کو ابراہیم نخعی سے روایت کرنے میں عمرو بن مرہ نے اعمش کی متابعت کی ہے ۔ ( جیسا کہ درج ذیل ہے )"
Hazrat Abdullah ( bin Masood Radi Allaho Anho ) farmate hain : Rasool Allah SAW ne irshad farmaya : Ali ( Radi Allaho Anho ) ke chehre ki taraf dekhna ibaadat hai . ** Is hadees ko Ibrahim Nakhaiee se riwayat karne mein Amr bin Marah ne Aamash ki mutaba'at ki hai . ( jaisa ke darj zail hai )
