Mustadrak Al Hakim 5305
Muhammad bin Umar said: The nickname of Hatib bin Abi Balta'a (may Allah be pleased with him) was "Abu Muhammad". He belonged to the "Lakhm" family, which is one of the families of Banu Rashidah. He participated with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the Battle of Badr, the Battle of the Trench, and all the battles. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent him to Muqawqis, the ruler of Alexandria. He was also among the special archers of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the Battle of Uhud. He passed away in Madinah at the age of 65. Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) led his funeral prayer. He was a merchant and used to sell food. He was handsome, had a very light beard, was of medium height, and did not have thick or rough fingers.
محمد بن عمر کہتے ہیں : حضرت حاطب بن ابی بلتعہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی کنیت ” ابومحمد “ تھی ، ان کا تعلق ” لخم ‘‘ خاندان کے ساتھ تھا جو کہ بنی راشدہ میں سے ایک ہیں ۔ آپ جنگ بدر ، جنگ خندق اور تمام غزوات میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ہمراہ شریک ہوئے ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان کو اسکندریہ کے سردار مقوقس کی جانب بھیجا تھا ، اور جنگ احد میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے مخصوص تیر اندازوں میں بھی تھا یہ شامل تھے 65 سال کی عمر میں مدینہ شریف میں ان کا انتقال ہوا ۔ حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی ، آپ تاجر تھے ، طعام بیچا کرتے تھے ، آپ خوبصورت جسم کے مالک تھے ، داڑھی بہت ہلکی تھی ، قد درمیانہ تھا ، موٹی اور کھردری انگلیوں والے نہیں تھے ۔
Muhammad bin Umar kehte hain : Hazrat Hatib bin Abi Balta'a (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki kunniyat "Abu Muhammad" thi, un ka تعلق "Lakhm" khandan ke sath tha jo ke Bani Rashidah mein se ek hain. Aap Jang Badr, Jang Khandaq aur tamam ghazwaat mein Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hamrah shareek hue, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un ko Iskandariya ke sardar Muqauqas ki jaanib bheja tha, aur Jang Uhud mein Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke makhsoos teer andazon mein bhi ye shamil the. 65 saal ki umar mein Madinah Shareef mein un ka inteqal hua. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ، ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «حَاطِبُ بْنُ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ فِيمَا قِيلَ مِنْ لَخْمٍ، ثُمَّ أَحَدُ بَنِي رَاشِدَةَ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ، وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بَعَثَهُ إِلَى الْمُقَوْقَسِ صَاحِبِ الْإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةِ، وَكَانَ فِيمَا ذُكِرَ مِنَ الرُّمَاةِ الْمَذْكُورِينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَمَاتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ، وَكَانَ تَاجِرًا يَبِيعُ الطَّعَامَ، وَكَانَ حَسَنَ الْجِسْمِ، خَفِيفَ اللِّحْيَةِ، أَحْنَى إِلَى الْقِصَرِ مَا هُوَ شَثْنُ الْأَصَابِعِ»
