The virtues of Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (RA)
فضائل حضرت عبد الله بن عباس بن عبد المطلب رضي الله عنهما
Mustadrak Al Hakim 6291
Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: How excellent an interpreter of the Holy Quran is Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father). ** This Hadith is Sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) but the two Sheikhs (Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim) did not narrate it.
" حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما قرآن کریم کا کتنا اچھا ترجمان ہے ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood Raziallahu Anhu farmate hain : Abdullah bin Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma Quran Kareem ka kitna acha tarjuman hai . ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhain ne ise naqal nahin kiya .
أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ تُرْجُمَانُ الْقُرْآنِ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 6291 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
