Abu Ahmad al-Hakim: He is not considered strong by them
Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: Not everything narrated on his authority that is objectionable is necessarily from him, and perhaps it may be from the one who narrated on his authority, because a group of weak narrators from Kufa attribute narrations to Husayn al-Ashqar, however, we have found in some of Husayn's Hadiths some objectionable content
Abu al-Fath al-Azdi: Weak
Abu Ja'far al-'Aqili: He is not followed, and is not known except by this
Abu Hatim al-Razi: He is not strong in Hadith
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: A Shaykh who narrates rejected Hadiths
Abu Mu'mar al-Qati'i: Al-Ashqar is a liar
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: He was not among those who lie, and mentioned about him his Shi'ism, then mentioned about him that he narrates Hadiths about Abu Bakr and Umar, so he said: 'He is not someone to narrate Hadiths about them'
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: He is not strong
Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub al-Jawzajani: An extremist from among those who revile the good
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Truthful, but prone to exaggeration, and exaggerates in his Shi'ism
Al-Daraqutni: He is not strong
Al-Dhahabi: Alas
Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari: He has some views, and once: 'He has some rejected narrations', and once: 'He is close to being a Hadith scholar'
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Weak
Yahya ibn Ma'in: He was from among the extremist Shi'a, and he was asked about his Hadiths and said: 'There is nothing wrong with them'
