Abu Hatim al-Razi: Most of his hadiths are mursal. He did not meet any of the Companions of the Prophet except Sahl ibn Sa'd, Anas, and Salamah ibn al-Akwa', or those who were close to them. He said about the mursals: We do not know if he heard from them, meaning Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas, or not.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He mentioned him in al-Thiqat
Abu Zur'ah al-Razi: He was trustworthy
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Truthful, frequent mudallis and mursil
Al-Daraqutni: He was trustworthy
Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Khalfun al-Azdi: Trustworthy and well-known
Muhammad ibn Sa'd, the scribe of al-Waqidi: He was a narrator of many hadiths, but his hadiths are not used as evidence because he narrates mursal from the Prophet and did not meet him. Most of his companions practice tadlis.
The authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Trustworthy. His narrations from the Companions are mursal except for Sahl ibn Sa'd, Anas, and Salamah ibn al-Akwa'. No one accused him of tadlis, but it seems that they mean by tadlis: mursal.
