Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: If a trustworthy person narrates from him, then his hadith is upright. I have not seen any objectionable hadiths from him. He was knowledgeable about his people.
Abu Hatim ibn Habban al-Busti: He was among those who make mistakes, and once: He was among the eloquent people, but he became senile in his old age.
Abu Zur'ah al-Razi: Trustworthy
Abu Sa'd al-Sam'ani: He was among the trustworthy followers of the people of Basra.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: I do not know except good.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: Trustworthy
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Trustworthy
Al-Dhahabi: Trustworthy, but he makes mistakes
Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Mandah al-Isbahani: His place is of truthfulness, and Al-Bukhari did not narrate from him due to his madhhab.
Muhammad ibn Sa'd, the scribe of al-Waqidi: Trustworthy, narrates many hadiths, but not everyone relies on him.
