Al-Daraqutni: He narrates mursal (disconnected) Hadiths, he narrates from al-Awza'i his Hadiths from weak Sheikhs from Sheikhs he met like Nafi', 'Ata', and al-Zuhri, so he omits the names of the weak narrators, and makes them from al-Awza'i from 'Ata', meaning like 'Abdullah ibn 'Amir al-Aslami, and Isma'il ibn Muslim
Al-Dhahabi: Scholar of the people of Sham, he was a mudallis (concealer), so be cautious of his Hadiths where he says: 'an (from)'
Sadqah ibn al-Fadl al-Marwazi: I performed Hajj with him and I haven't seen a man who memorizes long Hadiths and the Hadiths of battles better than him, and once: A memorizer, precise
Abd al-A'la ibn Mushir al-Ghassani: One of the trustworthy among our companions
