Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: Abandoned his Hadith
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: Yahya ibn al-Ala' is a liar who fabricates Hadith, and Bishr is worse than him. He accused him of lying, and once said: People abandoned his Hadiths, and another time said: I do not know that I wrote anything from the Hadith of Bishr ibn Numayr, or said: It's a big deal.
Ahmad ibn Shuayb al-Nasai: He is not trustworthy, and once: Abandoned in Hadith
Ibrahim ibn Yaqub al-Jawzajani: Not trustworthy
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Abandoned, accused, and very weak
Al-Daraqutni: Abandoned
Al-Dhahabi: He had a large, declining narration, and he did not mention him as weak, but he said in the biography of Yahya ibn al-Ala' that Bishr is ruined, so perhaps the Hadith is his fabrication.
