Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: I do not see anything wrong with his hadith if it is narrated from him by a trustworthy or truthful person who has sound hadiths. Al-Thawri, Ibn Uyainah, Yahya al-Qattan, and others among the trustworthy have narrated from him, and they considered him trustworthy. He was upright in hadith and good among the Syrians.
