Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: He narrated from the trustworthy what was not corroborated. He used to read from his own copy what was not from his narration, attributing it to people he had seen or not seen, and he would reverse chains of narration. He was confronted about this, but he would not deny it. This Shaykh met Abu Ulayd, Muslim, al-Qa'nabi, al-Hawdi, and their likes. However, he was afflicted with his books, so he would make mistakes. I hope he did not do it intentionally.
