Abu Sa'd al-Sam'ani: He collected a lot of Hadith, and compiled chapters, biographies, and chains of narrators.
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: His memorization cannot be relied upon, but as for him being accused (of fabrication), (that is not certain).

Al-Khatib al-Baghdadi: I saw in his possession both authentic and unreliable chains of narration, and I saw things in his narrations where his hearing (of the Hadith) was flawed, either scratched out or corrected with a pen, and he was accused of fabricating a Musalsal Hadith, so I objected to it. He was asked, after my objection, to narrate it, but he refused.
Al-Dhahabi: Weak, and he has a Hadith in which his chain of narration is questioned.
Khayr al-Din al-Zirikli: From the people of knowledge in Hadith and Quranic recitations, he collected a lot of Hadith, and compiled chapters, biographies, and chains of narrators.
