Abu Nu'aym al-Fadl ibn Dukin: We abandoned his hadith, and he does not narrate from him. It was claimed that he used to drink until he became intoxicated.

Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Truthful but makes many mistakes, and his condition deteriorated later in life.
