Abu Ahmad ibn 'Adi al-Jurjani: Upright in hadith, his hadith is considered evidence by those who heard from him before he became confused. He is one of those whose hadith is collected from the people of Basra. Once, he said: "We do not lie, by Allah, we heard from him and he had become confused."
Abu Hatim al-Razi: His memory changed before his death, so whoever wrote from him earlier, it is good. He is a good narrator of hadith.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He had become confused three years before his death. Yahya ibn Sa'eed al-Qattan saw him while he was confused, but it was not a severe confusion. Therefore, we included him among the trustworthy narrators.
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: Whoever caught up with Ayyub and heard from al-Jarree, it is good.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: The hadith scholar of the people of Basra, righteous, he did not argue with anyone.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: Trustworthy, he denied during the days of the plague. Once, he said: "He is more reliable to us than Khalid al-Hadha." And once: "Whoever heard from him after he became confused, it is nothing."
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: Trustworthy, he became confused at the end of his life.
Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah: He was asked: 'Was al-Jarree confused?' He said: 'No, old age makes a difference.'
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Trustworthy, he became confused three years before his death. Once: 'One of the reliable narrators.'

Abd al-Latif ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Kayyal al-Shafi'i: Counted among the people of Basra, trustworthy, considered a source of evidence by the two Sheikhs [Bukhari and Muslim]. Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah narrated from him.
Isa ibn Yunus al-Sabi'i: I do not narrate from him. Yahya ibn Sa'eed forbade me from narrating from him. Yahya said, 'And 'Isa only heard from him during his confusion.' He heard from him but would not narrate from him.

Yazid ibn Harun al-Aili: He became confused. Once: 'We used to start with al-Jarree,' and he had denied it.
Kahmas ibn al-Hasan al-Tamimi: We rejected him during the days of the plague.
Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Abi 'Adi: We do not lie, by Allah, we heard from him while he was confused. Once: 'We used to go to al-Jarree while he was confused, we do not lie by Allah, we would find him narrating hadith just as it is with us, or something close to it.'
Muhammad ibn Sa'd, the author of al-Waqidi: Trustworthy, God willing, except that he became confused at the end of his life.
Yahya ibn Sa'eed al-Qattan: He forbade [narrating] from him, meaning he was confused. In a narration from al-'Abbas: 'He heard from him but would not narrate from him.'
