Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jarjani: One of the blatant liars, he used to gather in every hadith he narrated chains of transmission out of his audacity in lying and attributing it to the trustworthy.
Abu al-Faraj al-Jawzi: He was one of the biggest liars.
Abu Ja'far al-'Uqayli: I do not know of a single authentic hadith from him, all of them are fabrications.
Abu Hatim al-Razi: He was a liar.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He was one of those who fabricated hadith and attributed them to the trustworthy. When night fell, he would stay up most of it remembering the hadith and fabricating it, then he would write it down and narrate it. It is not permissible to narrate from him or write down his hadith except as an example of astonishment.
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned something from the hadith of Wahab, so he said, 'Do not keep anything of his hadith in your memory.'
Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim al-Naysaburi: He narrated from Ja'far and Hisham al-Mawdu'at.
Abu Nu'aym al-Asbahani: Do not write down his hadith.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: He used to fabricate hadith, and once: He is the greatest liar of people, and once: I have no doubt about his lying and that he fabricates hadith, and once: His hadith is rejected.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: He is not trustworthy and his hadith should not be written down. A liar and wicked, and once: A liar, and once: Abandoned in hadith.
Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub al-Jawzajani: He used to lie.
Ishaq ibn Rahwayh: He is the greatest liar of people.
Ibn al-Jarud: A liar and wicked, he used to spend most of the night fabricating hadith.
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Known for lying and fabricating hadith.
Al-Daraqutni: A liar, and he is worse than Khalid ibn Isma'il.
Al-Dhahabi: His hadiths are fabricated.
Hafs ibn Ghiyath al-Nakh'i: His lying.
Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq al-Qurashi: The liar of this nation, Abu al-Bukhtari.
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: When the news of Abu al-Bukhtari's death reached him, he said: Praise be to Allah who has relieved the Muslims of him.
Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah al-'Absi: I think he will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment as a Dajjal.
Amr ibn Ali al-Fallas: He used to lie and narrate what has no basis.
Malik ibn Anas: He accused him of what Ibn Shaheen narrated.
Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i: He narrated from him but did not consider him permissible.
Muhammad ibn Sa'd, the scribe of al-Waqidi: He was not that knowledgeable in hadith, he narrated munkar (rejected) hadiths, so his hadith was abandoned.
Wakee' ibn al-Jarrah: He used to accuse him of lying.
Yahya ibn Ma'in: A liar and wicked who fabricates hadiths, and once: Weak.
