Abu Ahmad ibn 'Adi al-Jarjani: He is not considered trustworthy or weak in his narration, especially if the text he narrates is not unacceptable.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: From the people of Basra, a denier of hadith. Due to his scarcity, he is not relied upon even if he agrees with the trustworthy, so how can he be relied upon when he is alone in his errors?
Abu Hafs 'Umar ibn Shahin: He spoke about him.
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: He used to look at the stars, and he testified before 'Adi ibn Artah regarding the sighting of the crescent moon, but his testimony was not accepted.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: I do not know of anything but good, but Shubah spoke against him.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: He is not strong.
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Weak.
Zakaria ibn Yahya al-Saji: There is weakness in him.
Shubah ibn al-Hajjaj: He criticized him, saying, 'He sees the crescent moon two days before the people.'
'Adi ibn Artah al-Fazari: He testified before him regarding the sighting of the crescent moon, but he did not accept his testimony.
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Weak, and once: 'He is not bad,' and once he said: 'Trustworthy.'
