Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: Some of his hadiths are objectionable, and he is among the weak narrators whose hadiths are recorded.
Abu Bakr al-Bazzar: He is not strong in hadith.
Abu Hatim al-Razi: Lenient in hadith.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He narrates from al-Zuhri things that are reversed, he mixed up what he heard from him.
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: I prefer him to Zama'a ibn Salih.
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: Weak in hadith.
Abu Isa al-Tirmidhi: He is weakened in hadith.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: He did not approve of him.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: Weak.
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: His hadith is written, but he is not strong.
Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub al-Jawzajani: He was accused regarding his hadiths.
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Weak, considered unreliable, weak.
Al-Daraqutni: He is not considered reliable.
Zakaria ibn Yahya al-Saji: Truthful, reliable, but not a proof.
Subt ibn al-A'jami: Salih al-Hadith: Al-Jawzajani said, 'He was accused regarding his hadiths.' His statement means either he lies in them or fabricates them. It is possible, and because of this possibility, I mentioned him among them.
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: He narrates from him.
Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari: Weak, and once: Lenient, and once: Not anything from al-Zuhri.
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan: He weakened him and did not narrate from him.
Yahya ibn Ma'in: He is not strong, and once: Weak, and once: Not anything, and once: Weak in hadith.
Ya'qub ibn Sufyan al-Faswi: I used to hear our companions weakening them.
