Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: He mentioned hadiths for him, then said: And he is trustworthy among the people, and had it not been for some ambiguity in the amount I mentioned, I would not have mentioned it. And Ibn Abi al-Rijal has other narrations besides what I mentioned, from his father and from others. And I hope there is nothing wrong with him.
Abu Hatim al-Razi: Salih (righteous)
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He may have made mistakes.
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: There is nothing wrong with him.
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: He elevates things that others do not elevate.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: Thiqah (trustworthy)
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Saduq (truthful), he may have made mistakes.
al-Daraqutni: Thiqah (trustworthy)
al-Dhahabi: Famous, Saduq (truthful)
al-Mufaddal ibn Ghassan al-Ghalabi: Thiqah (trustworthy)
Ali ibn al-Madini: More righteous than his brother Haritha in hadith, and he used to reside in al-Sham.
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Saduq Hasan al-Hadith (truthful, good in hadith), and his saying 'he may have made mistakes' is taken from Ibn Hibban, and he was only lowered from the rank of absolute trustworthiness due to his mistakes.
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Thiqah (trustworthy), and once: There is nothing wrong with him.
