The authors of Tahdhib al-Tahdhib: Saduq (truthful) Hasan al-Hadith, and his saying may be mistaken, I take it from Ibn Hibban who said: He used to make mistakes, and there is a difference between them
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan: He considered him weak and did not approve of him, and once: Muhammad ibn Amr is more beloved to me than Ibn Hurmuz, and once: He used to be prompted
